Pickleball paddle manufacturing fiberglass and carbon paddles built to your spec and brand

The pickleball paddle is the product that defines a pickleball brand — and the one buyers specify in the most detail. PairForge builds pickleball paddles for sporting goods brands, clubs and pro shops, retailers, distributors and e-commerce sellers: fiberglass, T700 / raw carbon and 3K / 12K woven carbon faces over polypropylene (PP) honeycomb cores, with your shape, thickness, surface texture, edge guard, grip and graphics. Approval for sanctioned play is a per-model process that you, as the brand owner, run with USA Pickleball — this page explains it and claims no approval. Pair paddles with pickleball balls and pickleball bags, or see the whole pickleball range.

  • Fiberglass, T700 / raw carbon, 3K / 12K carbon and hybrid faces
  • PP honeycomb cores; 13, 14 and 16 mm are common thickness requests
  • Standard, elongated, hybrid and widebody shapes; edge guard or edgeless
  • Weight range, grip and texture specified per SKU and confirmed on samples

Paddle shapes and lines we build

  • Standard / widebody — the classic, wider face; the usual choice for recreational, beginner and set paddles.
  • Elongated — a longer, narrower face with a longer handle; popular in upper price points and with two-handed backhand players.
  • Hybrid — between standard and elongated; many brands build their core model here.
  • Youth and junior paddles — smaller, lighter shapes and shorter handles for school and youth programs.
  • Wood and composite program paddles — durable, low-cost paddles for schools, parks departments and loaner programs.

Shape, length, width and handle length are fixed on a drawing per SKU. If you plan to sell into sanctioned play, the drawing is checked against the current USA Pickleball equipment standards before sampling (see approval).

Face materials

  • Fiberglass (glass fiber) — the usual face for entry and recreational price points and colorful graphics.
  • T700 / raw carbon — unidirectional carbon fiber, often left as a textured “raw” carbon surface; common in mid and upper price points.
  • 3K, 12K and 18K woven carbon — woven carbon fabrics with a visible weave pattern; chosen for look and feel.
  • Hybrid faces — carbon and glass layers combined to hit a target feel and price.

Feel differs by material, layup and core; we recommend comparing samples rather than relying on labels. We publish no spin, power or speed figures. Materials are compared in the specs guide.

Core, thickness and weight

Most paddles use a polypropylene (PP) honeycomb core. Buyers most often request 13 mm, 14 mm or 16 mm core thickness: thinner cores are usually chosen for a firmer, livelier feel, thicker cores for a softer, more controlled feel — confirmed on samples. Foam-filled perimeters and alternative cores are quoted on request. Weight is specified per SKU as a target range with a tolerance (US buyers usually work in ounces), and swing weight and balance are agreed on pre-production samples. We publish no performance figures.

Construction, surface, edge and grip

  • Construction: cold-pressed paddles (face sheets bonded to the core) or thermoformed / unibody builds with a sealed perimeter, depending on the line and price point.
  • Surface texture: raw carbon texture, sprayed grit or textured coatings, or a smooth printed face. Texture is specified per SKU; if the paddle will be submitted for approval, it is kept within the limits of the current standard, which you confirm with USA Pickleball.
  • Edge guard: TPU or ABS edge guards in your color, low-profile guards, or edgeless designs.
  • Grip: handle length and circumference options, cushion or perforated overwraps, embossed or printed grip tape, branded butt caps and grip collars.
  • Graphics: full-face UV printing, heat or water transfer, matte or gloss finishes, metallic and textured inks.

USA Pickleball approval — the process, not a claim

We do not claim that any paddle shown or described here is USA Pickleball approved. For paddles meant for sanctioned play, approval is planned per model:

  1. Decide the channel. Recreational, school and club paddles may not need listing; paddles sold for sanctioned tournament play are expected to appear on USA Pickleball’s approved paddle list.
  2. Freeze the model. Shape, materials, core, surface finish and graphics are fixed. The paddle face must show the brand name and model name it will be listed under.
  3. Submit as brand owner. You, the brand owner, submit the model through a USA Pickleball manufacturer account, with production-identical samples and the required fees. We supply the samples built to the frozen specification. A model built on the same materials and process as an already-approved paddle may qualify for a simpler “similarity” route — you confirm this with USA Pickleball.
  4. Listing and marking. Once approved, the model is listed under your brand and model name, and packaging and marks follow USA Pickleball’s licensing rules.
  5. Keep production identical. Mass production must match the tested samples; changes in materials, process or texture can affect the listing and are agreed with you first.

Requirements, tests and fees change; always confirm the current rules with USA Pickleball for each model. Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.

Who buys pickleball paddles from us

Sporting goods and racquet sports brands building a paddle line; clubs, venues and pro shops with a house brand; retailers and distributors filling price tiers; e-commerce sellers building paddle sets; and schools, parks and recreation departments and community programs buying durable program paddles. Private label runs through OEM, stock models through wholesale. Courts also need pickleball nets — and many brands add padel rackets next.

No approvals, certifications or test data claimed. We describe what each product is made of and how it can be customized. We do not display approval or certification marks, publish test data, performance figures, factory capacity or customer cases on this site. USA Pickleball approval (approved paddle and ball lists) is a per-model process: the brand owner submits the model under its own brand and model name, and the buyer confirms the status of each model. Padel competition rules (FIP or national federations) are confirmed per model by the buyer. No injury, health or performance claims are made for any product. Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

Fiberglass or carbon — which face should my line use?

Many lines carry both: fiberglass for entry and recreational price points and colorful graphics, carbon (T700 raw carbon or woven 3K / 12K) for mid and upper price points. Feel depends on face, layup and core together, so we recommend choosing on samples.

Which core thickness do buyers ask for?

13 mm, 14 mm and 16 mm PP honeycomb cores are the most common requests. Thicker cores are usually chosen for a softer, more controlled feel and thinner ones for a firmer feel — confirmed on samples. We publish no performance figures.

Can I use my own shape and artwork?

Yes. Existing shapes start fastest; a new shape needs a new mold and drawing. Full-face artwork, edge guard and grip colors and your packaging are all customizable.

Do you make paddles for schools and parks programs?

Yes — durable fiberglass, composite and wood paddles in program quantities, often packed with balls and a carry bag.

Are your pickleball paddles USA Pickleball approved?

We do not claim that any paddle on this site is USA Pickleball approved. USA Pickleball publishes an approved paddle list for sanctioned play. A paddle model is submitted for testing by the brand owner (the company whose brand and model name appear on the paddle face) through a USA Pickleball manufacturer account, using production-identical samples with final graphics; once a model passes, it is listed under that brand and model name, and production must stay identical to the tested samples. If you sell into sanctioned tournament play, you confirm per model whether and how your paddle will be submitted — before mass production. See the approval process in our specs guide.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the platform (an existing mold vs. a new shape), face material and finish, colors and graphics, logo method, packaging and any approval testing your channel needs; lead time depends on customization, sampling rounds, approvals and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
